Goal Accomplished: Hassan Whiteside Raised His NBA 2K Rating

Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside shared a personal goal with a nationally televised audience after recording his first career triple-double in victorious fashion against the Bulls on Sunday.

He's motivated, in part, to improve the video game version of himself.

"I'm trying to really get my NBA 2K rating up," he said after unleashing 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 blocks in just 25 minutes off the bench amid Miami's 96-84 win.

Whiteside became just the third player in modern NBA history (since 1985) -- joining Russell Westbrook and Fat Lever (yes, that is the actual name of a real former NBA player) -- to attain a triple-double in 25 minutes or less. The 20-24 Heat are 4-3 when Whiteside plays at least 20 minutes.

The NBA 2K team responded quickly by increasing his overall rating from 59 to 77. Check out his highlights from yesterday below.
