La-Z-Boy Recalls Thousands Of Control Wands

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Before kicking back on the La-Z-Boy this weekend, be sure it's not one of the thousands with chair wands being recalled by the company.
La-Z-Boy has recalled about 4,000 control wands, sold with Silver Luxury Lift model chairs only, due to a burn hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The electric wands allow the user to control the movement of the chair.
La-Z-Boy has received three reports of the wands on floor samples becoming warm. No injuries have been reported.
The Silver Luxury Lift model chairs were sold in a variety of sizes, colors and fabrics including leather.
The chair, which retails for anywhere between $900 and $1700, was sold at La-Z-Boy furniture galleries and independent stores nationwide from August through November of last year.
