MIAMI (CBSMiami) – New England stampeded Indianapolis to win the AFC title.

Afterwards, some Patriots players were surprised to learn the team was accused of deflating the footballs it used on offense to gain an unfair advantage.

Former Miami Dolphin Bryan Tyms, now a New England receiver said he had "never heard of such a thing."

If a football is slightly deflated, it's considered easier to grip and catch. The NFL is looking into the accusation, first reported by the website of an Indianapolis TV station.

The Patriots deflated Andrew Luck on their way to a 45-7 romp.

New England Coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady now advance to their sixth Super Bowl. Belichick pulls even with Dolphin legend Don Shula for most Super Bowl appearances by a coach.

Shula won the big game twice. Belichick and Brady are seeking their fourth Super Bowl victories.

To get it, they will have to beat the defending champs.

Seattle made it back to the big game by pulling off a miracle rally against Green Bay. The Seahawks looked dead in the water in the NFC title game until the Green Bay Packers muffed a crucial onside kick, giving Seattle new life.

The Seahawks scored to take the lead, only to see the Packers kick a game tying field goal to force overtime.

That's when Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson shook off a horrible four interception game, to throw the winning touchdown.

The Seahawks beat Green Bay 26-21. They are slight favorites in Super Bowl 49, which will be played on February 1st in Glendale, Arizona.
