Construction & Sales Positions Available At Miami Lakes Job Fair

MIAMI LAKES (CBSMiami) - Two dozen companies will be looking fill more than 2,000 positions at a job fair in Miami Lakes on Wednesday.

The event will be held at the Don Shula's Hotel located at 6842 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. The event lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For those with experience in the plumbing or welding fields, Coastal Mechanical is looking for plumbers, welders, foremen, pipefitters, sheet metal workers and helpers to add to its team of over 300. They are ranked the 32nd largest Mechanical Contractor nationwide and have excellent benefits.

The job fair organizers say there will be more than 200 construction/trades positions up for grabs at the event.

Other companies looking to hire include Ring Power Corporation, ALDI, KW Property Management & FirstService Residential, Nielsen & Cox Media Group, Performance Food Service and Kent Services which has open security positions.

If you're planning to attend there are a couple of things you should do.

First, pre-register online at jobnewsmiami.com. Print out your registration page and bring it with you. This is your "fast pass" into the Job Fair at 10 a.m. only.

Also, update your resume and bring at least 15 copies with you. The event organizers urge job seekers to dress their best. That doesn't mean you have to go out and purchase an expensive outfit, just dress clean cut and professional.

Do your research. Pick a few companies from those listed and learn more about them online. The more you know about the company, the more you can talk with them at the event.
