Streets Set To Close For Three Kings Parade

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  While the Three Kings holiday has passed, locals are set to go out to celebrate at Miami's annual three kings parade on Sunday.

Before, during and after the parade certain streets are set to close.

The parade is set to start at 12:00 p.m. and  travel along SW 8th Street from 4th Avenue to 17th Avenue where it turns north and ends at SW 6th Street. The event ends at 4:00 p.m.

Before the parade event starts, various streets are set to be shutdown due to the event.

Starting at 6:00 a.m. streets will be closed off and traffic will be diverted in certain areas.

According to City of Miami Police, eastbound traffic on SW 8th Street from SW 19th Ave to SW 4th Ave will be closed.  Traffic traveling eastbound on SW 8th Street will be detoured North or South at SW 19th Ave.

By 10:30 a.m., all avenues will be closed. Southwest 12th and SW 8th Ave will remain open only for North and southbound traffic.  There will be no traffic allowed eastbound on SW 8th Street.

If you want to take SW 7th Street, it will remain open westbound until SW 12th Ave.  At SW 12th Ave, westbound traffic on SW 7th Street will be detoured northbound.

For those who take public transportation, Miami-Dade Transit buses which normally travel along SW 8th Street will be detoured.  Make sure to check with Miami-Dade Transit Agency for further information.

Residents that live in the area will be able to travel along SW 7th Street on north side or SW 9th Street on the south side.

At 6:00 p.m., SW 8th Street will reopen.
