MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Three shootings in 24 hours in Miami have taken the lives of two men and have left another man and two women wounded.

Miami Police say the latest victim was a man in his early to mid 20s who was shot and killed at

N.W. 53rd St. and 18th Ave. on Wednesday morning. Police are looking in to the possibility that he was being chased by another man before he was shot.

The victim's girlfriend, Antanisha White, told CBS4's Peter D'Oench, "He was a very good person. He was shot down like a piece of meat. He didn't bother nobody. He didn't deserve that. He was a good person. He was a loving person. He was an honorable person."

White also told D'Oench, "They need to stop the violence, stop the violence. He meant a lot to me. If you know anything please please call the police."

Miami Police Officer Frederica Burden called on the community to come forward with valuable information.

"Right now are looking for witnesses and trying to figure out what happened," said Burden. "As a police officer I can say it is frustrating. We are doing as much as we can and then once we get a handle on one incident, another one happens in a 24 hour period."

Another shooting happened Wednesday morning in front of a home at N.W. 11th Ave. and 64th St. Police did not have information to release about that case.

Burden said it was too early to say if the shootings were connected.

One of the three people injured in a shooting in Miami on Tuesday night has died, authorities said.

He was identified as 23-year-old Cassiaus Cadet-Stuckey.

The pockmarked walls of the Liberty City's complex, known as the 'Pork and Beans Project,' shows that whoever opened fire meant business.

Neighbors said they heard a barrage of gun fire from what sounded like three different caliber guns.

Most of the bullets, roughly a dozen, were fired at one particular apartment, where the man who lives there was killed.

"I had love for him. Wanted to show him my respect," said a man who didn't want his name revealed as he left a small token of appreciation for the 23-year-old victim.

"He was a good young man, didn't mess with nobody. Good people," he said. "It's just sad. He didn't deserve it."

Officials believe the two women who were grazed by bullets were innocent by-standers. Police identified them as 16-year-old Tanisha Rolack, who was wounded in the right foot and left side. Also wounded: Mary Smith, 25. She was grazed in the right thigh.

Neighbors said they are truly upset and fed up with the shootings.

"I am upset because every time I turn around there is shooting and killing, shooting and killing and I have to get on the floor.I have to deal with this, my kids have to deal with this we didn't do nothing to nobody," said neighbor Maria Williams.

"You will hear a lot of people out here talking about how this is a senseless shooting and a lot of innocent victims getting hit as a result and they are hoping that this is going to stop so this is where the police pleads for the community involvement," said Capt. Ignatius Carroll with Miami Fire and Rescue.

Police do not have a suspect description and aren't clear how many shooters they're looking for at this point.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
