Three people were injured in the gun battle that erupted shortly before 9 o'clock on Tuesday evening.

Two of the victims were women. Officials believe they were innocent by-standers who were grazed by bullets.

"You will hear a lot of people out here talking about how this is a senseless shooting and a lot of innocent victims getting hit as a result and they are hoping that this is going to stop so this is where the police pleads for the community involvement," said Capt. Ignatius Carroll with Miami Fire and Rescue.
