Bill Seeks To End Sexually Explicit Harassment

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/NSF) - When the state's legislature convenes this March, a bill up for consideration is aimed at stopping people from posting sexually explicit images of other people online as a form of harassment.
The bill (HB 151) was filed Monday by Rep. Tom Goodson, R-Titusville.
Under the proposal, a perpetrator could face a third-degree felony charge for posting sexually explicit images on social media or a website "with the intent to harass (another) person, if the individual knows or should have known that the person depicted in the sexually explicit image did not consent to such disclosure,'' the bill says.
The penalty would increase to a second-degree felony if the perpetrator is 18 or older and posts sexually explicit images of someone under age 16.
