Detectives Locate Possible Car Involved In Deadly Hit & Run

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) – Boynton Beach police said they have a new lead in the hit and run death of a 15-year-old boy Saturday night.

Investigators have located the vehicle possibly involved in the crash in unincorporated West Palm Beach and have identified a possible driver.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of High Ridge Road at about 11:15 p.m.

The victim of the hit and run crash was identified as Khiar Raymond.

He was walking home from an event at Boynton Beach High School with his older brother and a friend when he was tragically struck by a car.

The teen was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he died.

The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras by the Fire Rescue Station.

According to officials, the woman was seen driving to the rear of Station 5 following the crash and parking the car. She got out of her car, walked toward the crash scene and then turned around, got back into her car and drove away, police said.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
