MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Trend Tracker® Tara Gilani tracked down Zaha Hadid at the star-studded Biscayne Boulevard groundbreaking of "One Thousand Museum" in Downtown Miami. The building is Hadid's first luxury, residential skyscraper project in the western hemisphere.

Hadid, one of the most influential architects in the world, is the first woman to win the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize, Iraqi-British Hadid possesses the same qualities as her innovative structures: dynamic, bold, one-of-a-kind.

Examples of Hadid's cutting-edge brilliance can be seen in The London Aquatic Centre and The Dubai Opera House. Words often used to describe them—and all of Hadid's structures—modern, futuristic, and exhilarating.

A quote by Hadid, the Trend Tracker® feels, says a ton about her work as well as her personal life, "There are 360 degrees…why stick to one?"

"Developing ideas and seeing them happen is always an incredible thing, equal to a miracle and that's what keeps us going," Hadid told Gilani.

Hadid told Gilani her parents are her inspiration, both were extremely encouraging.

"They both blame each other for encouraging me but I'm grateful to them," Hadid said.

Hadid's advice on how to succeed is simple--educate yourself.

"I think it's the skill and the knowledge and the training that gives you the possibility to do well," she said.

Gilani describes Hadid as refreshingly funny and humor, she admits, certainly plays a role in her life.

"You have to have some humor. Otherwise life is too dull. You have to take everything with a slight pinch of salt. I don't like to think I take myself too seriously. That would be very annoying."

The Trend Tracker® commented on Hadid's unique personal style.

"I've always liked it [fashion] since I was a kid. I used to dress myself up. When I was a kid, my mother used to say: Don't dress like Carmen Miranda, take it easy."

On the day of the interview, Hadid's outfit was by Christopher Kane, a young English designer.

Hadid's ring also caught Gilani's eye which she described as, "a big fluffy, furry thing."

"I found it in New York. I've been wearing it for the past few months. I don't know what to do with it. wash it or dry clean it, l don't want to damage it."

As for guilty pleasures, two of Hadid's are actually found in Miami; sun and Joe's Stone Crab.

Hadid, in a lightening round of questions, answered Gilani's "I am, I want, I will, I promise" questions with honesty, "I am tired. I want to go on a cruise. I will carry on. No promises."
