KEY LARGO (CBSMiami) – A Key Largo man has been charged with gun threat.

According to Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the man was arrested on Friday evening after pointing a gun at another man during a confrontation between the two.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Friday at Denny's Latin Café', at the 99.5 mile marker on the highway.

According to police, two brothers were sitting at an outside table using a laptop computer when Kristian Demblans, 33, pulled up in his pickup truck with his girlfriend.

Witnesses say that Demblans got into an altercation with one of the brothers over the computer. Demblans later told police that he had sold the computer to the man he was tussling with and was still owed money on the laptop.

Police say that Demblans allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim.

Demblans then got back into his truck, along with his girlfriend, and headed southbound on the highway.  The victim called the police to report being threatened with a gun.

Monroe County Deputy Pedro Garcia spotted Demblans in his pickup truck as he headed southbound around the 99 mile marker.  Deputy Garcia followed Demblans while waiting for backup to arrive and observed him make several U-turns.

Once backup arrived, Deputy Garcia and Detective Barney Sajdak stopped the truck at the 99 mile marker on the southbound side of the highway.

The officers found a loaded Glock handgun on the driver's side floorboard and also found a rifle inside the vehicle.

Demblas was arrested and charged with battery and aggravated assault with a firearm, and was booked into jail.
