Price At The Pump Continues To Fall

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – In addition to discounted prices at stores and malls, this holiday season has another gift for those who pinch pennies at this time of year.

Gas prices continue to fall. As of Oct. 21st, gas prices across the nation and statewide have been slipping. In Florida, prices have fallen about 20-cents in the last month.

As of Black Friday, the national and Florida's average was $2.79 a gallon. In Florida,

The average price for regular unleaded in Miami is $2.86, according to AAA Motor Club. One week ago, it was $2.90 and a month ago it was $3.07.

In Fort Lauderdale, the average price for regular unleaded is $2.89. One week ago, it was $2.93 and a month ago it was $3.12.

West Palm Beach is the most expensive place to fill up, at $2.95 a gallon for reg. unleaded, while Pensacola is the cheapest spot to top off the tank at $2.68 a gallon.

Consumers in South Carolina and Missouri are paying the nation's lowest average price at the pump, $2.57 per gallon, and 38 states are posting averages below the $3.00 per gallon threshold.
