NEW SMYRNA BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — An unusual smell coming from a bathroom in a New Smyrna Beach park led police to a meth lab which had been set up inside.

A construction worker called 911 on Tuesday to report smoke that smelled of chemicals and acid coming from the men's bathroom at Detwiler Park.

Police and a hazardous materials team found remnants of a one-pot meth lab in the bathroom.

The restroom wasn't seriously damaged.

The worker told police he saw a man running from the area with a bag in his hand.

Evidence led investigators to 20-year old Justin Hill.

Hill, who is also a suspect in a home burglary, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, manfacture of methamphetamine and possession of cannabis.
