Witnesses: Officer Fires Weapon In Truck Chase

HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) -- A Miami-Dade police officer fired their weapon after, witnesses said, they saw a truck being chased through a South Miami-Dade neighborhood.
It all happened near 28155 SW 143rd Court.
Police confirmed an officer fired their weapon after the officer was, "assaulted with a vehicle."
The department wouldn't go into further detail, but said a suspect is in custody.
Police said no one was injured.
