Teen Taken To Hospital After North Miami Beach Hit & Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police are searching for the person wanted in a hit-and-run on Monday.
That person is 17 years old and the victim is 14 years old.
Victim, Brayan Brito, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center after being hit by a car in North Miami Beach.
Brito's mother spoke with CBS4's Cynthia Demos and said her son told her that he saw the car and he was trying to run away from it.
Police said the 14-year-old Brito was in stable condition when he was taken to the hospital.

According to police, a car stopped to let Brito cross the street. The Honda Accord behind the stopped car drove around it and ended up hitting Britto.
The accident happened at 167th St. and NE 14th Ave., but police found the dark colored Accord at 215 St. and NE 12th Ave.
A neighbor watched the hit and run driver pull up and abandon the car.
The person wanted for the hit-and-run 17-year-old David Dessaline.
Police said they have searched the suspects home.
