TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/NSF/AP) – No ball. No parade. No champagne. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is scaling back the inaugural festivities after winning his second term.

The GOP incumbent instead plans to hold a "Jobs Jamboree" that will feature informal barbecues hosted by businesses in Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Pensacola. These will start in December.

"We are focused on three things: jobs, jobs and jobs,'' Scott said in a prepared statement. "Our December jobs jamboree events will highlight some of our growing Florida businesses and also be an opportunity to celebrate our economic progress while focusing on the work we have left to do in the next four years."

Scott will participate in an inaugural prayer breakfast and he will hold a small reception at the governor's mansion. First lady Ann Scott will also honor military families as well.

Contributions to the state GOP will pay for the events. The party said more details of the events will be announced in the coming days.
