Focus on South Florida: Lupus
Lupus is one of the cruelest, most mysterious diseases on Earth. It is an autoimmune disease that can take years to diagnose and has no known cure. An estimated 5 million people worldwide have lupus, about 100-thousand of them here in Florida. Most people at risk for lupus know little or nothing about the disease. We focus on the work done by the Lupus Foundation of America's Florida chapter and meet a woman who has lived with the disease for more than 20 years.
