MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A pet pig named Lucy who was stolen has been found.

This was a tale of woe that began with fear that something nefarious had happened to the precious pot-bellied pet, but as it turns out, it's not always what things may seem.

Bianca Sierra is the pig's owner.  "I understand it's not a typical pet, but it's still my pet."

Neighbors had told Sierra and Eduardo Guzman that they saw two men wrestle the 60-pound pig into a red car.

However, Carlos Gonzalez said he's not a pig wrestler.

In fact, he told CBS4 that he and his brother rescued Lucy after seeing her in the street near a Home Depot and worried she was going to be hit by a car.

Gonzalez took Lucy home and saw the story on TV.

Sierra, Eduardo Guzman and the pig were all reunited Thursday afternoon.

"It's a big deal, Eduardo Sierra said. "She was a big part of the he family and and I'm glad she's back back home. A big part of our family. A big thank you to the guy who saved her at the Home Depot."

The family members of Gonzalez that housed Lucy for the night told Nelson they'll be sad to see the beloved pet go.

The grandmother of the family grew quite fond of the pig.

Lucy's owner, Bianca, celebrates her birthday Saturday and said to have Lucy home again is the best present.
