3,000 Jobs Up For Grabs At Mega Career Fair This Wednesday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Representatives from three dozen companies will be looking to fill 3,000 job positions at a career fair in Miami Lakes.

It will be held Wednesday, October 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Don Shula Hotel at 6842 Main Street.

Florida's largest property management company, FirstService Residential, is looking to fill more than 150 positions including community association managers, front desk, janitors, painters, landscapers and managers.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will hiring driver's license examiners, office managers and assistant office managers.

Cox Media Group which represents stations like 99 Jamz, Hits 97-3, Easy 93.1, Hot 105 and Party 93.1 will be at the career fair hiring media consultants.

More than 500 retail positions are available at Bed Bath & Beyond, Macys, City Furniture and Verizon Wireless.

USA Parking has over 100 openings for valet attendants and supervisors.

Boston Market & IHOP are hiring for managers, shift supervisors, servers and cooks.

Over 150 IT positions will be available with companies like LaSalle Training Center, Inktel Contact Center Solutions and The Academy!

Anyone interested should pre-register online at jobnewsmiami.com and print their confirmation. This will serve as a fast pass into the job fair at 10am only so please arrive on time.

Organizers say dress professionally and have at least 15 updated copies of your resume. Also, it doesn't hurt to do a little research online about the company you want to interview with.

Last but not least – make sure you arrange for a baby sitter. No children will be allowed into the event. Also, you will not be able to use your cell phone inside the Career Fair room.
