Red Bull Gives You - Money?
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Red Bull may not give you wings, but apparently, the company will give you cash.
Consumers who have purchased Red Bull products between 2002 and Oct. 3, 2014 could be entitled to either $10 in cash or $15 in Red Bull products, due to a recent settlement of a class-action lawsuit.
The settlement covers two class action lawsuits where consumers sued the company, alleging that the brand's marketing and labeling had mislabeled the safety and functionality of the drink.
If you do plan on claiming a refund but haven't held on to any receipts, don't worry no proof of purchase is required.
All customers have to do is either fill out an online form; email the claim to energydrinksettlement@gcginc.com; fax the claim to 844-533-1373; or mail to Class Action Settlement Administrator at Energy Drink Settlement, c/o GCG, P.O. Box 35123, Seattle, WA 98124-5123.
The deadline to apply for a refund or to receive Red Bull products isn't until March 2, 2015, however, it won't get to you any time soon.
The final settlement hearing isn't until May 1, 2015 which means, if approved, payments will be sent out afterwards within 150 days after final approval of the settlement.
