Police Searching For Driver In Miami Gardens Deadly Hit & Run

MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) --Police are asking for the public's help to find a driver involved in deadly hit and run in Miami Gardens.

Investigators say they are looking for a black four door Volkswagen, either Jetta or a CC model, with front end damage and a missing driver's mirror.

The driver of the car was involved in hit and run in the area of 37th Avenue and NW 183rd Street on the evening of September 13th.

Police said once they arrived to scene, they found an unresponsive man lying on the road.

Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released the identity of the man who was killed.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS. Tipsters may be eligible for an up to $1,000 reward if the tip lead to an arrest in the case.
