"I grabbed the phone and I called the cops that was the first thing," said Hani Kazem who was working at the gas station.  "He [the victim] was like unconscious. He was full of blood."

Police said he was last seen driving a silver Chevrolet Impala with black rims and tinted windows. Officials said the car may have been a 2008 model.

According to detectives, the victim was shot multiple times and died during surgery at Memorial Regional Hospital.

Kazem told CBS4's Maggie Newland that the employee had a young daughter and had worked at the gas station car wash for more than a year and a half.

"He was doing his thing, hard worker I would say. He was coming here everyday from 8 or 9 all the way through 6 working everyday," Kazem added. "He was a nice guy, not loud or anything, he never had problem with anybody."

According to Kazem, the suspect and victim may have fought over a woman.  Police will only say the incident was domestic related.

Customers were at the business when the shooting took place leaving them scared and uneasy.

"You feel unsafe, of course," said Kazem.

Dawson is considered armed and dangerous.  Records show Dawson has a prior criminal record.
