Alberto Ruiz, 50, who is facing a slew of felony charges including attempted murder is being held on no bond.

After a 10-hour search, police found and arrested Ruiz at the Ramona Motel on West Flagler Street in Miami on Wednesday evening.

Police said they were forced to shock Ruiz while they were trying to arrest him. He was later taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities believe Ruiz is responsible for a downtown Miami carjacking which left four people in the hospital.

Wednesday's carjacking happened around 10:30 a.m. at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami on the corner of SE 4th Street and Biscayne Boulevard Way.

Shaun Elizabeth Sinclair-Stept pulled up in a silver Lexus 350 to the valet stand to have them park it which is when Ruiz allegedly jumped into the car and tried to get away, injuring hotel employees in the process.

Police later found the Lexus abandoned at 643 SW 11th Street.
