Erika Szychowski, Nine West's senior vice president of marketing told the New York Times she expects the campaign to 'make noise and get attention."

One ad shows a leopard print pump as a perfect accessory for 'starter husband hunting.'

Another suggests a leather tote bag for the 'anticipatory walk of shame' after a night of regret.  While a third features four inch heels to 'help mommy wipe away happy sad tears' as she sends her kids to kindergarten.

CBS4 showed the ads to some South Beach fashionistas.

"So it is like she's stylish, doing her thing," said one woman.

"I like them.  They're tongue in cheek," nodded two sisters in approval.

But some critics believe the ads have a foot stuck in the past, all the way back to June Cleaver's kitchen.

Twitter blew up with comments like, "Ugh really, let's talk about outdated" and "Hey ladies your prayers have been answered.  All you needed was the right footwear."

Like it or hate it, the ads have people talking and walking into Nine West to look at their shoes.

Las Olas Retailer and shoe aficionado Brad Minto said the ads have created a buzz about the brand.

"I don't think they crossed the line, it's working," said Minto.

Added Todd Templin, Executive Vice President of Boardroom Communications in Plantation,

"If you didn't know the Nine West Brand before today, you probably will by the end of the week.  Writers are writing about it, and the public is discussing it."
