Out Of Town Jury To Be Tapped For Polo Mogul's Retrial

WEST PALM BEACH (AP) — A Palm Beach circuit judge has decided that the jury for the retrial of polo mogul John Goodman will be chosen from outside the county.

Goodman was charged with DUI manslaughter after he he ran a stop sign in February 2010 and rammed into Scott Patrick Wilson's car, killing him.

Goodman's 2012 conviction was overturned because of a juror's misconduct including a drinking experiment and withholding of key information.

Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath decided last week that jurors will be chosen beginning October 6th in either Tampa or Jacksonville. Colbath says there's little chance of picking an impartial jury to hear the high-profile retrial.

The exact location of jury selection will be revealed Sept. 29.

The jury will then be brought by police escort to West Palm Beach for the retrial.
