Bomb Squad Called In After Cutler Bay Bank Robbery

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami-Dade police called in the bomb squad after a bank robber left a package on the counter as he left the building.

Just before 9 a.m., the man walked into the TD Bank at 19199 S Dixie Highway in Cutler Bay and demanded money from a teller. To press his point, he implied that he had an explosive in a paper bag that he placed on the counter.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man walked out of the bank and left the bag behind.

The bank was evacuated and the device was rendered safe by the responding Miami Dade Police Department bomb squad, according to the FBI.
