826/836 Ramp To Close Starting Sunday
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Those planning on taking the Palmetto Expressway (SR826) or Dolphin Expressway (SR836) should be aware of a closure over the weekend, among other planned closures through Monday.
Starting Sunday, the southbound SR 826 ramp to eastbound SR 836 will be closed from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
For those looking for a detour, drivers can:
- Continue south on SR 826
- Exit at the SW 8 Street east ramp
- Access the northbound SR 826 ramp
- Access the eastbound SR 836 ramp
The ramp will close down again on Monday during the same time period.
All mainline westbound lanes on SR 836 are also set to be closed at the SR 826 exit ramps on Monday from 11: 00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The NW 11th Street entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 will also be closed during the same time frame.
Those who encounter the closures can:
- Access the northbound SR 826 ramp
- Exit at NW 25 Street, turn west access southbound SR 826 ramp
- Access the ramp to westbound SR 836
Drivers wanting to exit at NW 12 Street/NW 87 Avenue will have to:
- Access the northbound SR 826 ramp
- Exit at NW 25 Street, go west to NW 87 Avenue
All travel lanes on NW 12th Street between Milam Dairy Road and NW 78th Avenue will also be closed Sunday and Monday from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Eastbound drivers will be guided:
- North on NW 82 Avenue
- East on NW 36 Street
- South on NW 72 Avenue/Milam Dairy Road to connect with NW 12 Street
Westbound Drivers will be guided:
- North on Milam Dairy Road
- West on NW 36 Street
- South on NW 82 Avenue to connect with NW 12 Street
During the closure, a contractor will work on an overhead bridge as part of the SR 826/SR 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project.
