FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff’s Office isn’t fooling around as they look for two individuals who wore joker-style masks when they robbed an Oakland Park donut shop.
The robbery happened July 25th just before 10:30 p.m.
The two men, who appeared to be in their 20s, walked into the Dunkin Donuts at 801 E. Commercial Boulevard armed guns and wearing the masks and gloves.
They ordered a 20-year-old customer and a 19-year-old employee behind the counter and into an office. They then took cash from registers and a tip basket. They made their two hostages duck down to avoid being seen by passerby.
“We are hoping that you’re viewers will take a good close look at the video. You may not be able to see their faces but however someone might recognize the way that they’re moving or a T-shirt that one has on,” said Dani Moschella with Broward Sheriff’s Office.

At the Dunkin Donuts Monday employees were glad to hear that police had released the video and vowed not to let the robbers keep them from work.
“You gotta know the risks of working late night, you know, so you just gotta keep that in mind and just keep on working right after that—just gotta push through it,” said employee Grady Johnson.
Anyone with information on the two robbers is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for anonymous information that leads to an arrest.
“Our concern is that they might do this again and next time it might be more violent,” said Moschella.
