CBS Wants You To Get “Reckless” On Sunday Nights
MIAMI (CBSMiami) — It’s all about the South and sex in CBS’s new drama “Reckless.”
Reckless is a sultry legal drama set in Charleston, South Carolina.
“It’s about people making reckless decisions without regard to the consequences,” said the show’s star, Ana Wood.
Jamie Sawyer is a litigator from the North played by Wood. Her courtroom rival is Roy Rayder played by Cam Gigandet a charming southern attorney.
The chemistry is palpable between these two.
“Our characters are fighting that urge throughout the whole season they have this connection and heat,” said Gigandet.
The two leads must hide their intense mutual attraction as a police sex scandal threatens to tear the city apart.
A disgraced female cop hires Jamie to represent her in a lawsuit against the police department, but Jamie and Roy discover that she’s at the center of a dangerous case with dire implications for the members of the Charleston Police Department.
“You know they are these characters that make decisions that may be not with their heads but with other body parts,” said Gigandet.
Throughout the scandal, you’ll see other familiar faces on “Reckless.”
Adam Rodriguez of CSI Miami and Shawn Hatosy of “Southland.”
As Jamie and Roy spar in and out of the courtroom, dark secrets simmer behind every door and threaten to tarnish the genteel facade of seductive Charleston.
The show takes advantage of Charleston’s many picturesque locations to create an authentic southern flavor.
And yes ladies, you’ll also get to see a lot of Cam Gigandet as well.
“It’s embarrassing to talk about but yes I take my shirt off from time to time,” said Gigandet.
“Reckless” premieres Sunday, June 29th at 9:00 p.m.
