MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The days are numbered for Gloria Estefan’s Bongos Cuban Cafe adjacent to the AmericanAirlines Arena.

CBS4 has confirmed that Estefan Enterprises, Inc. has decided not to renew the restaurant’s lease and will close the doors on Jne 28th.

The company plans to open a new restaurant on a piece of property Emilio Estefan has owned for years in the downtown area near the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The new restaurant, which will be very modern with lots of glass, will be called Estefan Kitchen.

There will still be a Bongos concession inside the arena and the move does not affect other Bongos Cuban Cafes located in Orlando, the Seminole Hard Rock and the South Terminal of Miami International Airport.

Estefan Enterprises also plans to move their headquarters from their current offices on Miami Beach to their new downtown building.
