Marc Anthony's Next Album Will Be In English

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Nominated in 15 categories in Billboard Latin Music Awards, singer Marc Anthony has said his next project will go after a broader market.

Anthony's latest Spanish-language album "3.0" is a hit, and his single "Vivir mi vida" topped the charts for 18 weeks.

At the 25th Billboard Latin Music Conference in Miami, Anthony announced on Wednesday that he is working on a pop album in English.

Anthony, along with Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, Ricky Martin, David Bisbal, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon De Rene Camacho and Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizárraga will perform on the stage at the awards show at Miami's BankUnited Center on Thursday, April 24th.

Anthony says he doesn't have a release date or a record label yet. Sony Music Latin has the exclusive rights only to his Spanish-language music.

The "Newyorican" salsa singer has produced two albums in English, but much of his fame and success has come from his Spanish-language songs.
