Bail Set For Driver At Center Of Deadly Daycare Crash

ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) — Bail has been granted for a man at the center of a deadly Orlando crash which killed a 4-year-old girl and injured 14 people at a daycare center.

A judge has set bail $100,000 for 28-year old Robert Corchado.

Prosecutors sought to raise Corchado's bail to $250,000 during the Monday morning hearing. Corchado turned himself in to authorities Thursday, a day after they say his vehicle crashed into a convertible, sending it spinning into a KinderCare building in Winter Park.

Corchado testified in short answers during the hearing. He says he has three young children. The judge ordered him to stay in central Florida if he is released on bail and told him not to drive.

If he's released, he'd likely be arrested on violation of probation charges in neighboring Seminole County.
