Locals Rally For Deportation Relief

HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) — Locals gathered  in Homestead Saturday, rallying for deportation relief.

The rally which started at 7: 00 p.m., is part of a the national #Not1More deportation campaign meant to protest deportations under the Obama administration.

The group, WeCount!, and those rallying are calling on the president to stop the deportations.

“We want President Obama to be a real reformer, not the deporter-in-chief,” said Jonathan Fried, executive director of WeCount!.  “He can provide relief for the community with the stroke of a pen,” Fried added.

The event is being held at 201 N. Krome Ave until 9: 00 p.m.
