Police: Off-Duty Deputy Shot Man After Couple Had Sex In Pool
BOCA RATON (CBSMiami/AP) — A romp in a subdivision pool eventually ended with an off-duty deputy shooting a man, police said.
Authorities explained that the off-duty deputy shot the man after confronting a couple while they were having sex in the pool of a Boca Raton subdivision.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials said the deputy walked into the complex pool area where he lives just after midnight Saturday and found the couple having sex. He asked them to leave the premises. Authorities said the couple, who do not live in the area, returned a short time later.
Authorities say the male victim approached the deputy while he was sitting in a lounge chair and hovered over him in a threatening way. The two fought and the unnamed deputy shot the suspect.
The unidentified victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave which is standard protocol.
