Father, Son Alleged Drug Dealing Duo Arrested

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- An undercover  investigation, triggered by an anonymous tip, led police to arrest a father and son accused of dealing drugs from a Miami home.

Miami-Dade Police Gang Unit detectives arrested Nelson Angel Rodriguez, 33, and Nelson Valeriano Rodriguez, 59, on Wednesday morning. The two are father and son.

According to police, surveillance was placed at the home located at 761 N.W. 132 Place after they received an anonymous tip. Detectives said they observed one of them, "conducting hand-to-hand drug transactions with different unknown buyers."

When Police went to arrest them, they seized a large variety of narcotics including, cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, hashish, & mushrooms.

They also seized a large cache of weapons including, 9 handguns, 14 rifles and U.S. currency.

Nelson Valeriano Rodriguez faces a charge of armed trafficking of cocaine while his son Nelson Angel Rodriguez faces charges for selling marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of MDMA, and possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.
