Two Found Dead Near Scene Of Officer Shooting
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Police identified the bodies of a young man and woman who were found dead near a Central Florida scene where a police officer was shot and killed.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office says 17-year-old Brandon Goode and 18-year-old Alexandria "Alex" Hollinghurst of Davenport were found dead near the site on Saturday in Windermere.
Police Officer Robert German was killed after stopping two people on foot and calling for backup.
Officers responding to the scene found German on the ground. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have said the two individuals matching the suspects' description were found dead nearby after the shooting. They are believed to have committed suicide.
