Miami-Dade Marina Text Alerts Now Available For Boaters

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Boaters who keep their vessels in the Miami-Dade County Parks Marinas will  now be able to get text alerts to better plan their day on the water.

The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will send out  alerts to hazardous weather conditions, as well as boat ramp closures and re-openings.

The alerts are meant to help  boaters better plan and prepare for their day out on the water.
