State Senate Approves Revenge Porn Bill

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — The state Senate has unanimously passed a bill which makes it illegal to post sexually explicit images of someone online without their consent.

The so-called 'revenge porn' bill is aimed at websites where people post images of their partners after they break up. Those images are typically nude photos that were never meant to be shared outside the relationship.

It would be a second-degree misdemeanor to post such photos. A similar House bill would make a violation a third-degree felony.
