MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Sunday will be a nice day to be outside with warm temperatures and a mixture of sunshine and clouds. However, changes will move into the area for Monday with a cold front.
High temperatures Sunday afternoon will be near 83 degrees with a gusty breeze out of the southeast by the afternoon. The winds could reach 20 mph or more at times.
Sunday night will remain breezy with lows trending a bit warmer and only reaching the middle 70s.
A storm system moving across the Gulf Coast states Sunday will move into Florida late Sunday evening and Monday. South Florida will feel the impact late in the day with the possibility of a few thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s Monday.
The front’s passage comes late Monday into Tuesday and will keep the storm chances in the forecast from Monday afternoon through midday Tuesday.
The storms that develop could be strong at times and potentially reach severe status. However, computer models predict the worst of the storms to arrive on the western coast of Florida and weaken before reaching South Florida.
