Man Accused Of Groping Women At Sawgrass Mills Mall

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) - A Brandon man who reportedly got a little "handsie" at the Sawgrass Mills Mall got to find out what the inside of Broward's main jail looks like.

On Wednesday, Sunrise police received a call about a man, later identified as 31-year Jason Ahed Haleem, who was groping women's buttocks inside the mall's Fashion Row.

Witnesses told a police and a mall security cop that they saw Haleem "grabbing women's buttocks area and shoulder bumping males while walking through the mall."

Haleem was instructed to leave the mall. As the officer and security guard followed him out, he reportedly lunged his right hand towards a woman's crotch.

The woman had to squat to avoid the inappropriate touching, according to his police report.

In addition to disorderly conduct, Haleem was charged with fraud/impersonation after he reportedly gave a false name to police during question.

In court, Haleem denied the groping allegations but did admit to lying to the police about his name. The judge set his bond at $350 and he was order to stay away from Sawgrass Mills.
