Deputies Search For Man Who Robbed The Same Store Twice

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Broward Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a man, caught on surveillance, robbing the same Pompano Beach MetroPCS store twice.

According to deputies, on the morning of Christmas Day, a man dressed in black walked into the store located at 317 E. Copans Road.

Yesenia Pupiro, 26, was working and said the man appear to be shopping until he ran up to her holding a handgun.

The man grabbed Pupiro's cell phone and demanded cash. Once she gave him the money, he walked out and told Pupiro to,"Call the cops."

Deputies said he did it again on the evening of February 13th.  The same man walked in to the same store .

This time employee  Jimmy Rene, 28, was helping two customers when the robber came in wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt.

He charged the counter and pointed a small, silver handgun at Rene's head.

The bandit said he wanted cash in the register and once Rene gave it to him, he left the store.

"He may be local. He may know store hours.  If you can identify him call Crimestoppers," said BSO spokesperson Gina Carter.
