Organization To Make Film Supporting Protests In Venezuela

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A newly formed student organization is calling for support of the student protests in Venezuela and putting it together in a short film.

The group, Freedom Cuba-Venezuela Inc., wants to compile clips of  students from around the world, holding their own country's flag, urging for support and a stop to the violence.

From those clips, a short film will be developed and sent via social media and to the Presidents of each country.

In a statement, the organization says  the film is being done to "demonstrate that there is a student movement around the world that urges its leaders to join together for democracy and freedom."

The group says it wants to hear from international leaders.

"To see that students, young people are being repressed in Venezuela and that everyone has been silent about it…it shows a message of support for the government of Venezuela. So we're urging every President and every student in the world to take action and urge their president to speak up for the students of Venezuela," said Carlos Tagliafico of Freedom Cuba-Venezuela Inc.
