One Person Killed In Wellington Plane Crash
WEST PALM BEACH (CBSMiami) - One person was killed when a single engine plane crashed into a Wellington lake.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. near Greenbriar Boulevard in Aero Club, a private aeronautical community.
Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies and paramedics raced to the scene after receiving word that a plane had gone down.
Chopper 4 over the scene found the plane partially submerged at the edge of a lake, its tail above the water line.
Police have not identified the person who died. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
