Police Search For Deadly Hollywood Hit & Run Drivers

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – The victim of a hit and run, that was captured on red light cameras last week, has passed away.

Angel Mikki Larouge, 47, was hit at the intersection between State Road 7 and Hollywood Boulevard around 8:12 p.m. Monday January 27th police say first by a White older model Ford Expedition, and then again by a 2002 Silver Hyundai.

According to Hollywood Police, Larouge passed away from the incident on Tuesday.

Police are still working leads, investigating the incident.

Cameras caught a man in red that was driving the Expedition who allegedly first hit the victim. According to police, he stops, looks back, and then does nothing. Then, according to police, he left and later returns to the same gas station—checks out the scene—and then leaves for good.

The victims landlord in East Hollywood said Larouge was probably catching a bus.

"I think she was catching a bus, but to be run over twice by two cars just for trying to catch a bus, it's unfortunate," said Daniel Cote, the victim's landlord.

Police are asking for the public's help  to find the two drivers involved in the hit and run.

Police said the SUV, which will have damage on its front and right front, was last seen heading west on Hollywood Boulevard.

Larouge was then run over a second time by a newer model light or silver-colored small car, believed by police to be a Hyundai Elantra, which should have front and left front wheel well damage. That vehicle was last seen heading north on SR 7.
