Police Nab Two In Connection With Check Cashing Store Robbery

MIAMI(CBSMiami) - Two people were taken into custody Monday morning in connection with the robbery of a business in south Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade police said the pair were suspected of holding up employees of The Check Cashing Store, at 11223 SW 152nd Terrace, Monday morning.

According to detectives, Devin Washington, 24, and Freddy Parks, 22,gained access to the business through the roof. When employee Lizmarie Cintron walked in, she was confronted by the armed subjects who demanded money.
They grabbed about $200 before fleeing back through the roof.

After the robbery Cintron called 9-1-1. Miami-Dade police set up a perimeter and was able to take one of the men into custody relatively quickly. The second one was apprehended a short time later.
