FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Fort Lauderdale Police arrested a man accused of stabbing  another man after he found him in a motel room with his wife.

Police arrested Ricardo Ramirez, 32, on January 21st after he  confronted Christopher Nardi, 33, at the Sky Motel located at 1531 West State Road 84.

The two got into a verbal argument over an issue of adultery.

Ramirez said he had reason to believe that his wife was involved in an intimate relationship with Nardi and he suspected that she was inside his hotel room.

When Ramirez opened the door to the motel room, he found his wife inside.

According to police, a physical altercation ensued between the two men. Ramirez allegedly stabbed Nardi who attempted to run down the hall to get away but Ramirez caught up and allegedly stabbed him again.

Once more, Nari got up to try to escape him but Ramirez caught up to him and allegedly stabbed him for a third time.

Police said Ramirez then ran to his car and left the hotel.

A witness called the police and  gave a description, so they were able to track Ramirez down and take him into custody.

Ramirez faces charges of attempted premeditated murder, resisting an officer without violence, and cocaine possession.

Nardi was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where his is listed in critical condition.
