Police To Pass Out Flyers In Search Of Allapattah Assailant

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Police will pass out flyers Wednesday in Allapattah as part of their search for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman earlier this month.

According to City of Miami Police, the victim was on her way to work along N.W. 12 avenue and 30 street  the morning of January 1st.

She noticed, what she described as a White Hispanic male following her. When she started to walk faster, the subject confronted the victim, grabbed her purse and threw her to the ground in the open field underneath the metro rail.

Police said the suspect then told her he wanted her. The victim attempted to scream for help, but the suspect held her down and began top punch her in the face several times.

He then took her clothes off and began to sexually assault her and later ran away.

Police will pass out flyers at the location of the attack starting at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

They  are looking for a white Hispanic male, about 35 to 40 years old, about 5'5 to 5'6 tall, weighing 180 pounds.  He is described as having black hair and a light fuzz mustache.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark baseball shorts.
