Officials Investigate Cause Of Hollywood Warehouse Fire

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) --  Hollywood  fire investigators are trying to find out what caused a warehouse fire Saturday.

According to our news partners the Miami Herald, the  fire caused heavy smoke damage throughout the structure.

Hollywood Fire Department officials said the two alarm fire happened at 3800 N 28 Way at a Niagra Distributors warehouse.

Firefighters arrived to heavy amounts of smoke and the roof looking like it was going to collapse.

Hollywood Fire division chief Joel Medina told the paper, the fire was difficult because of its position adding that the inside of the warehouse had chain-link fence dividers, metal racks and wooden shelves.

They were able to get the fire under control after nearly two hours.

Fire officials said no one was inside the warehouse at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
