South Dade Teacher Accused Of Lewd Lesson

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A south Miami-Dade teacher was led out of his school in handcuffs after he was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Bresnniel Jansen, 32, is charged with two counts of engaging in a sexual act with a minor and one count of transmission of electronic material which is harmful to minors.

"I'm surprised, he was a really good teacher," said former student Jaime Gonzalez.

"I think that's disgusting.  I think the guys should be punished to the fullest extent of the law," said parent Orlando Deschapell.

Miami-Dade School police said Jansen, a geometry teacher at South Dade Senior High School, had an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year old female student.

Jansen had sex with the student and, in a separate incident, she performed oral sex on him in his classroom, according to his arrest affidavit.  The report also state's that Jansen and teen exchanged nude photos.

During questioning, Jansen reportedly admitted to the sex acts and exchanging nude pictures with the teen.

Parents were alerted to the situation on Wednesday via an automated message from the school's principal.

"I don't like it, I don't feel comfortable," said parent Rosa Montoya.

Some students said they could see something like this coming.  They described Jansen as an attractive, young teacher with a flirtatious personality.  They added that female students would always hang around his classroom.

"He just looked good, he has a nice body, he was attractive," said Claudia Rivero.

"He seemed rally close to the girls, when he came into the room he always hugged them and they always sat by his desk," said Ryan Chambers.

"There were rumors about it. Of him talking to students and students coming to class just to talk to him, it was really kind of iffy," said Gonzalez.

Court records show Jansen has been married since 2008.

"It's happening so often.  I see some of the kids, the way they dress, they're supposed to be wearing uniform clothes and some of these girls don't fit in their pants, you know.  I mean it's disgusting as far as I'm concerned but we have to face reality, it's a two-way street."

Some parents said the school need to do more to monitor their staff.

"I think they need to be supervised more," said Montoya.

He's being held on $10,000 bond.
