FBI Search For Armored Truck Robber & Getaway Car
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is on the look out for a man and a getaway car involved in the robbery of an armored truck in Miami Thursday morning.
According to the FBI, it all happened near the Regions Bank located at 6013 NW 7TH Ave at approximately. 9:20 a.m.
The robber, armed with a gun in each hand, approached the armored truck guard and displayed two handguns and took a courier bag containing an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI.
No shots were fired and no were injuries reported.
The FBI believes the getaway vehicle is a late 90's green four-door Pontiac with tinted windows, possibly a Grand Am or Grand Prix, that was last seen traveling south on NW 6th Court, then east on NW 60th Street away from the robbery location. They believe that the first three digits of the getaway vehicle's tag are "393."
The robber is described as a Black male, 5'11" to 6' in height wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants and a cloth bandana covering face. He was the passenger in the getaway vehicle described above.
